1. Ensure the operation and availability of the customer’s networked computers and all related peripheral devices. Repairs, troubleshoots, installs, and maintains customer networked PCs, software and peripherals while providing superior customer service to the customer departments and end-user base.
2. Organizes and prioritizes requests for service and on an as-needed basis works with vendor to resolve hardware and software problems.
3. Visits departments throughout the Customer to trouble-shoot, repair, and maintain data equipment problems, including workstations, portable/laptop computers, scanners, monitors, printers, telephones, faxes, modems, and other peripherals.
5.Determines the need to contract out repair work.
6.Tracks inventory by staff member and workstation and ensures this information is updated and accurate in the customer’s call tracking system.
7. Assists in developing specifications and recommends computer related purchases to management.
8. Coordinates work orders for the installation of new equipment and recycles old equipment. Ensures all necessary software and data is migrated and network connectivity is established.
9. Plans, schedules and coordinates new operating systems releases, engineering changes, and preventative maintenance changes.
10. Ensures the accurate and complete logging of required information into the MIS call tracking system.
11. Adheres to customer and MIS policies and procedures.
12. Provides software support on customer approved applications and operating systems.
13. Assists with special projects as needed.
14. When necessary, escalates problems to management or the appropriate secondary level of support resource for resolution.
15.Supports Windows servers at all locations (including Active Directory in a large environment, DNS, file/print servers, storage, domain controllers, production applications, virtualization (VMware / Citrix), builds, high availability, Disaster Recovery, batch scheduling, security administration, patch management, alert notifications, user administration, operational support, and backup/recovery).
16.Administer, manage and coordinate the maintenance of Cisco VoIP, Mitel VOIP, voice mail and unified messaging systems, including contact center software.
